Chamraj Estate Frost is a wulong tea from one of the highest tea gardens in the Nilgiri Region of India. Located in the State of Tamil Nadu in the southwestern part of the country, this tea garden was established in 1922 at an elevation above 6,500 feet. The high-grown leaves are plucked during the dry winter months when fog covers the tea gardens, giving us the highly sought-after Frost teas. After harvest, they are then mid-oxidized about 50%-60%.
The twisted strip-style leaves unfurl to yield a lively, clean, medium-bodied infusion that is flavorful and highly aromatic with notes of honey and stone fruit and a hint of spice.
