tea containing an abundance of buds is light, lively and aromatic with notes of honey, floral, stone fruit and the freshness of spring. Glenburn Estate First Flush FTGFOP1 is a lovely black tea from this garden's spring harvest.

This estate was established around 1859 by a Scottish tea company; however, it has now been in the Prakash family for over fifty years. The garden is located in the northern-most part of the Darjeeling region in India, on the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountains. As with the teas of the other 86 designated tea gardens in Darjeeling, the teas of the Glenburn are grown at high elevations - in this case, 3,200 feet.

The garden is managed using sustainable agricultural practices and it is a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, a tea-specific fair trade organization. As such, the garden provides living and working conditions that exceed those required by Indian law. In addition, there is a hospital on the estate and several schools for the children of the garden workers.

The spring flush (plucking) contains an abundance of buds and yields a light, lively and aromatic pale golden amber, medium-bodied, smooth infusion with notes of honey, floral, stone fruit and the freshness of spring. tea containing an abundance of buds is light, lively and aromatic with notes of honey, floral, stone fruit and the freshness of spring.
