Santosa Estate BOP is a broken leaf black tea from the Indonesian island of Java. The garden is located at an elevation between 1,500 and 3,500 feet south of the city of Bandung in West Java Province. This tea is produced from Camellia sinensis assamica leaves and is highly sought after for its self-drinking nature.
The broken leaf grade yields a smooth, medium- to full-bodied infusion that is low in tannin with a Ceylon-like flavor and malty, fruity, and subtle floral notes. Great hot or iced!
