Yunnan Large Leaf Green Tea is from the land-locked province of Yunnan located in southwestern China near the Himalayan Mountains. Considered the birthplace of tea, Yunnan is one of the main tea-producing regions. It benefits from a mild climate and has a beautiful, rugged landscape of mountains, plateaus, and rivers. The leaves of this rare green tea from the large-leaf variety of the tea plant are hand-harvested in early spring and hand-processed.
The beautiful, large well-twisted leaves yield a light- to medium-bodied, smooth, balanced and flavorful infusion that is sweet, fresh, earthy and vegetal with notes of beets and corn. This tea lacks the bitterness and astringency typical of many green teas.
