Mengding Huang Ya Yellow Tea is from Mount Mengding in the central part of the Sichuan Province in China. This land-locked province in central China has a humid, subtropical climate. Only the bud is hand-harvested and hand-processed. The unique and labor-intensive processing of this tea involves an initial firing of the leaves, then wrapping them in cloth and allowing them to rest for several days, followed by a re-firing, another wrapping, and lastly a slow-roasting.
The leaves yield a light-bodied, very smooth and clean infusion that is aromatic with fresh and grassy notes.
