Guranse Estate Green is an organic green tea from the eastern hills of Nepal. The estate was established in 1990 and is the oldest organic tea garden in Nepal. It is located at elevations that range from 3,300 to 7,300 feet in the foothills of the Himalayas below Mount Everest and Mount Makalu. The Camellia sinensis sinensis plants enjoy pure mountain air and a temperate climate in this high-grown, tea-producing region. The standard two-leaves-and-a-bud pluck is hand-harvested and then hand-crafted.
The small, curly leaves unfurl to yield an easy-drinking, smooth, crisp, and slightly viscous, light- to medium-bodied infusion that is aromatic and sweet with vegetal, grassy and fruity notes and a subtle nutty finish.
