Tai Ping Hou Kui China Green Tea

$14.00

Tai Ping Hou Kui Green Tea is named after the former Tai Ping County in the southern Huang Shan Mountain region in Anhui Province, China. This tea is grown at an elevation around 1,500 feet where a combination of natural shading, along with rain, mist and clouds provides an ideal environment for growing tea; one of the ten most famous teas of China, this unique tea made from the Shi Da cultivar, which is a very large leafed variety, and is hand-plucked and processed only two weeks of every year. The large, leaves are dried and then pressed between layers of cloth, which leaves an imprint of the weave in the tea leaves.

The leaves yield a light-bodied, smooth, and slightly thick infusion with a clean finish and a delicate savoriness, trademark sweetness, and notes of fresh cut grass and asparagus.

  • Tea is priced and sold by the ounce.
  • Minimum purchase of 2 ounces.
