Thai Blend (Vanilla & Star Anise) Black Tea

Thai Blend Black is a delicious combination of the sweet spices vanilla and star anise. The broken leaf blend makes a full-bodied and aromatic infusion for dessert or any time. Add a dash of sugar and a splash of milk to create a silky treat. This is the tea we used in our shop, Infuse Tea Bar, as the base for our popular Thai Iced Teas.

Ingredients: black tea, vanilla pieces, natural vanilla flavor.

  • Tea is priced and sold by the ounce.
  • Minimum purchase of 2 ounces.

Infuse Tea Bar's Famous Thai Iced Tea

To make a 16-ounce serving:

  1. Measure out 2 slightly heaping tsp Thai Blend Black Tea and put in an infuser (tea ball, spoon infuser, paper filter, etc.).
  2. Place in a steeping vessel (a measuring cup can work really well in this step).
  3. Add 6 ounces of boiling water, cover and steep for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea leaves.
  5. Add slightly heaping tbsp of sweetened condensed milk (pick your favorite!) and stir until dissolved.
  6. Let cool slightly and then slowly pour into a tall tempered glass or a glass that has some ice in it (to avoid cracking).
  7. Stir to melt all/most of the ice.
  8. Add enough ice or cold water to make slushy - shaved ice works really well.
  9. Add and stir in 1.5-2 tbsp coconut milk (I like Native Forest Unsweetened Organic Coconut Milk Simple because there are no added sugars, emulsifiers or thickeners that can damage the gut microbiome).
  10. Don't forget to add the love and enjoy! :)

**Adjust the amount of tea leaves, boiling water, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, and ice based on the ending volume.

**Coconut is an allergen for some people, so please be sure to ask if you are preparing this for someone else. Separate theirs after Step #8.
