Thanh Tam Mid-Oxidized Wulong is grown and produced in the Moc Chau Plateau in the Son La Province in northern Vietnam. It is grown at higher elevations between 3,600 and 3,900 feet in rich soil and a humid subtropical mountain climate. Crafted from the Thanh Tam cultivar, which is the Qing Xin cultivar in Taiwan, the leaves are sun-dried after harvest and then withered before being mid-oxidized around 50-65%. The final step is an extended drying and rolling that gently teases out the complexity in the leaves.
The leaves unfurl to yield a rich, smooth and balanced medium-bodied infusion that is complex with fruity, honey, malty, cacao and subtle sweet spice notes and a lingering sweetness.
Leaves may be infused multiple times.
